Candelario Weekend

We spent a weekend in Candelario during this program. 

(Candelario is a beautiful, small Spanish town in the mountains.)

We visited Salamanca on the way to Candelario.

When they restored one of the churches, they carved an astronaut into one of the pillars.

The Spanish love their ham. 

Exploring Granadia 

Later that day, we went hiking.

These steps are 2,000 years old. They used these steps to transport silver and gold from the mountains down to the town. 

They say that if you drink 3 sips of water from this fountain, you will get a boyfriend.

It snowed a week before we came. We could see a little bit of snow on top of the mountain.
